Weathered and worn to perfection, these original wooden washboards were used (and are still used today) in the provinces of India.

Handmade, these tactile boards make a wonderful decor piece and can be used in many ways.  

These pieces are genuine antiques and have been handpicked from Antique Markets. They will have evidence of their long life and this is what intrinsically makes it so beautiful and very special. Knots, worn areas and uneven surfaces are all part of their beauty. No two pieces are the same.

As an original item of significant age, some variation will occur between items.

Our ‘Original’ products have been handcrafted and hand finished using traditional techniques, and are of significant age. Minor anomalies in size, design and finish are inherent to the character of these products, and are not considered defects, as they form the natural attributes and beauty of these unique items.
